Privacy policy

Effective July 13, 2026

EmployerCost is a personal WebAgent project operated by Amaury Covo. This policy explains the data used to provide employer-cost planning estimates, requested emails, analytics, and approved partner attribution.

Information you enter in the calculator

Salary, state, benefits level, role risk profile, SUTA assumptions, and payroll administration choices are calculated in your browser. They are not sent to EmployerCost merely because you use or change the calculator.

Requested result emails

If you ask us to email a result, we process your email address, hiring timeline, the calculation snapshot, source page, limited campaign attribution, consent version and timestamp, and a random submission identifier. We use this data to deliver the requested estimate, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions, notify the project inbox, and place the request in a new CRM state for follow-up.

The required checkbox covers the requested result email. A separate, optional checkbox controls follow-up about payroll or PEO options. The optional checkbox is not preselected and is not required to receive the result.

Security and spam controls

We may process a shortened hash derived from the requesting IP address for rate limiting and attribution. We do not need or request Social Security numbers, tax account credentials, payroll files, bank details, or employee records.

Analytics

EmployerCost uses Google Analytics 4 to understand sessions, page usage, and funnel events such as calculator submissions and successful lead submissions. Funnel counts are aggregate events and are not treated as people, leads, conversions, or revenue unless separately reconciled. We do not send email addresses to analytics.

Affiliate links

Approved outbound partner links may carry a click identifier, provider, placement, source path, and campaign parameters so a later conversion or payout can be reconciled. A click is never recorded or presented as revenue. Partner links remain inactive until EmployerCost has actual program approval.

Service providers

Vercel hosts the site and serverless functions. Upstash-compatible storage may hold lead and approved partner-attribution records. Resend delivers requested and internal notification emails. Google provides analytics. These providers process data under their own security and privacy terms.

Retention and deletion

Lead and partner-attribution records are configured to expire after no more than 400 days unless a shorter legal, operational, or deletion period applies. Email copies and CRM records may persist separately until the request is resolved or deletion is requested. Aggregated analytics may follow the retention settings configured in Google Analytics.

Your choices

You may decline optional follow-up, use the calculator without submitting an email, block analytics through browser or privacy controls, and ask to access, correct, or delete a lead record. Withdrawing optional follow-up does not affect an email you already requested.

Changes

We may update this policy as the funnel or service providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
