Embed the EmployerCost calculator on your website

Give founders and hiring teams a fast US employer-cost estimate without sending salary data to a server. The widget uses Shadow DOM, so its design stays isolated from your website’s CSS.

Install with three lines

Paste this where you want the calculator to appear. Load the official 2026 state dataset first, then the widget script.

<script src="https://employercost.com/assets/states-data.js"></script>
<div data-employercost-widget data-state="TX" data-salary="85000"></div>
<script src="https://employercost.com/assets/widget.js" defer></script>

Optional settings

  • data-state="CA" sets the initial state using its two-letter code.
  • data-salary="120000" sets the initial annual salary.
  • data-title="Plan your first hire" replaces the widget heading.

Every estimate uses office/professional workers compensation, 18% employer benefits, basic payroll administration, and the sourced 2026 new-employer SUTA model. Employer-assigned notices still control exact unemployment tax.

Privacy and attribution

The widget makes no API request and does not transmit the visitor’s inputs. Keep the visible “Estimate by EmployerCost” attribution link intact when using the free version.

General planning estimate only. Not payroll, tax, legal, insurance, accounting, or HR compliance advice.
